Cancelling your subscription

To cancel your subscription, please fill in the corresponding unsubscription form. You can also cancel it by e-mail. (The e-mail notification you received when you subscribed explains what you have to insert in the body text of the e-mail). back to top

Confirmation of your request

For security reasons, after subscribing (or unsubscribing) you will receive an e-mail containing a special code and asking you to confirm your request. Your reply must include the code in the body text. Once your reply has been received, and provided the code is correct, your request will be processed. back to top

Security of download e-mails you receive

All web pages are delivered through secure http. The available files in the download area will also be transmitted through secure http. For more information about the secure http protocol please refer to your browser documentation.
The automatically generated update files sent by e-mail are digitally GPG signed. The "Gnu Privacy Guard" (GPG) security system offers you the possibility of verifying every e-mail you receive from the ECB. If you would like to take advantage of this system, you must first obtain the GPG client software from  GnuPG. After installation of the GPG client, please download the ECB public GPG key which you need for the verification. This public GPG key now has to be installed in your key ring in the GPG client software.
Please refer to the GPG documentation for your operating system for a detailed description of how to use the software. Generally, you can check every incoming e-mail manually, but it is also possible to implement GPG into your existing mail software for automatic verification. If you already have the PGP ('Pretty Good Privacy') client software installed you can use it to check the e-mails as it is compatible with GPG.
