A German tradition

In the late afternoon of 20 September 2012, the ECB held a topping out ceremony to celebrate the completion of the main structural works for its new premises in the Ostend, the Bank’s new neighbourhood. more

New look

The structural works for the double office tower are now complete, with the technical areas and antenna due to be put in place by the end of the year. Progress is also being made with the restoration works on the Grossmarkthalle, as well as with the construction of the entrance building and the new building elements within the market hall. With its unique contour, the double office tower serves as a landmark from many locations. more

A symbol of stability

In the early 1990s here in Frankfurt am Main, Lord Mayors Brück, Hauff and von Schoeler, together with the Federal Government, campaigned for establishing the predecessor of the ECB in this city, and thus laid the foundations for what we can see today. more

Building to a “recipe”
